How we source prices
Last updated October 5, 2026
Our orforglipron price page shows what Foundayo costs in the United States, the only country where it is on sale. This page explains where each number comes from and why we stop short of a Canadian figure.
Where the numbers come from
- Self-pay prices by dose come from Lilly's own Foundayo coverage and savings page. Today they run from US$149 to US$299 a month, depending on strength.
- The list price (US$649 a month) is the wholesale acquisition cost Lilly discloses on its pricing information site. Almost no patient pays it, and we say so wherever it appears.
- The insured price comes from the terms of Lilly's savings card, including its caps and the people it excludes.
We cross-check each figure against a second public listing, such as Drugs.com or GoodRx, but we always cite Lilly's document as the source of the number itself.
Why prices are in US dollars
We show prices in the currency they are charged in. Converting them to Canadian dollars would look helpful, but it would read like a Canadian price, and there isn't one. Canadian drug prices are set by a different process: a Notice of Compliance from Health Canada, a ceiling price reviewed by the Patented Medicine Prices Review Board, then a reimbursement review by Canada's Drug Agency and negotiations by the pan-Canadian Pharmaceutical Alliance. GLP-1 medicines have historically cost less in Canada than in the US, so a straight conversion would very likely be wrong.
What we will not do
- Estimate or forecast a Canadian price before Lilly or a public payer publishes one.
- List prices from sellers that are not licensed to sell orforglipron.
- Show a discount or coupon price without the conditions attached to it.
How often we check
Lilly's US offers have an end date. The current figures are set to be rechecked by December 31, 2026, and sooner if Lilly changes its pricing page. When a figure changes, the price page's date changes with it. The wider rules we follow are in our editorial policy.
